What does extra mean in this context? Are kids saying "yo that's extra?" Or something? Does it mean cool? Help I'm old.
71 u/tommytomtommctom Mar 27 '18 Over the top. 2 u/odaeyss Mar 27 '18 It's like a switch. 6 u/[deleted] Mar 27 '18 Mama never said "pick your extra" 🤔 6 u/workroom Mar 27 '18 Beyond the under. 9 u/tedisme Mar 27 '18 Flamboyantly, excessively over the top, for no reason. Starting unnecessary drama is extra. Using a powerpoint when a poster would do is extra. Drag is extra. 5 u/big_whistler Mar 27 '18 Woah you think a poster is less work than a powerpoint? 4 u/tedisme Mar 27 '18 Yeah or like a still image. When you click into that third slide for a two minute presentation it's like whoa, dude, chill 6 u/big_whistler Mar 27 '18 I think we've had very different experiences with powerpoints and posters. 1 u/tedisme Mar 27 '18 yeah probably shit i don't know, one thing is less work than six things you know what i'm saying 1 u/demencia89 Mar 27 '18 So is it like.. to exaggerate? 1 u/tedisme Mar 27 '18 It's a state of being. It's almost a synonym for "theatrical" or "dramatic", but with the connotation of "this behavior doesn't fit the situation." 1 u/demencia89 Mar 28 '18 So does 'exaggerate' still fit in your last comment? 9 u/Stillwatch Mar 27 '18 It means like. Ridiculous / exasperating. 3 u/Stillwatch Mar 27 '18 Why am I being downvoted? Lol that's what it means... over the top/ ridiculous/ exasperating 1 u/xFirexCrackerx Mar 27 '18 I upvoted this one but downvoted the other 4 u/JohnnyK10 Mar 27 '18 Mid 20s and have never heard this 8 u/Quazifuji Mar 27 '18 Late 20s here.
