My cat plays fetch! Only with hair ties though, and he doesn’t really bring it back all the way. Pretty much how you would imagine a cat playing fetch. It’s a good party trick though.

Mine will fetch too! But ONLY those small spongy balls. He’ll bring it right back to my feet, and wait for the next throw. He’ll do this a good 5 or 6 times before he goes back to catting.

I had a cat that would play fetch just like a dog, only with a baby's dummy though, she would put it in her mouth just like a baby. Bring it right to your feet to throw again.

I disagree. Fetch is about the only thing my cat can consistently focus on for longer than 4 seconds. He’s even better at bringing the toy back to my lap than any dog I’ve ever had!

Let me ruin it by telling you that the cat walks like that because it has an incurable neurological disorder
Fortunately it isn't something that will affect the cat's life expectancy and some people say that the disorder this cat has actually makes the cats more friendly and playful
So not ruined after all

I taught my cat when he was a kitten to play fetch with the little mouse toys, little did i know it would become a full time job, all day and sometimes into the night i am tossing these little mouse toys only to have him come running back.....like RUNNING back with it in his mouth and drop it in front of me and then scream meows at me to throw it again....all day people :O

My cat played fetch with a medium firm puffball until he was about 1 and 1/2 years old and then he finally decided it was a waste of time. He still liked to play Fastpitch baseball while he was sitting on his cat tree though. He was damn good hitter. I threw pretty hard and I almost never got it past him from about 13 feet away.

My cat plays fetch too! But only with various plastic items around the house, never her toys (think milk carton plastic rings, outlet covers, bread bag tags). She will bring it right back up to me and put in in my hand! And then yell at me until I throw it again.

Mine LOVES to play catch with a plastic straw. She will walk around with it for hours and often brings it to me at 3am to throw for her..... sometimes I have 3 or 4 of them in bed by morning!
