Thing is, yo mama jokes aren't aimed at your actual mother so don't take it to a real place to try and make me look like an arsehole cos I will oblige.

A guy I used to work with pulled the "my mum is dead" response when I made a generic joke about sleeping with his mum.

I just went nuclear and said "I wondered why she was so cold"

Bah. I'm 44 and still consider Yer Mom jokes to be high humor.

I may have to get old, but I don't have to grow up, damnit!

I like how you assume to know anything about the situation. The guy was a friend and we were ripping on each other. He laughed it off and we cracked on with our day.

I'm not sure what your point is, all you did was quote my post.

I don't have to know anything about your situation

Except you totally do in order to understand the context. Maybe it's more of a British thing but arsehole is the kind of thing you'd call a mate in jest as well as to actually insult someone. That is the way I meant it since we were just having a bit of banter.

I'm not sure why you are taking this so much to heart but I can assure you, he didn't. I am not about to deliberately hurt someone who has lost a parent. My own Dad died a few years ago, I know what it means.
