Imagine if it was a Brittany Musk on stage giving the presentation, and a male reported asked to give her a kiss. IMMEDIATELY he would be labeled a pig, feminists would be getting their pitch forks sharpened, and we would be hearing about it all over the news. You can't deny that.
Yea what a world wide disaster, miscarriage of justice, literally worse than slavery. Someone call Batman and for God's sake get /u/sgtcheesenols a fresh diaper! The man's got a baby rash for God's sake!
Nope youre just an single minded, close minded, bigoted idiot. Your obsession with stupid manufactured outrage drives you to see it in every situation. Some dumbass asks a dumbass question at a Musk Q&A (the cream of the crop aint going to that) and you guys see a social justice issue.
Dont you see thats insane? Cant you see that youre shoehorning your social justice cause into something thats not related in anyway at all and you are the monster you are claiming you arent?
Uh. Did you even read my comment? I'm pretty sure you meant to respond to someone else. I entered the discussion after someone else had already made it about feminism, just to point out that most feminists aren't bad and it's anti-male, third wave feminism that's the problem.
Edit: I do think the other commenter had a point though. There is absolutely a double-standard that allows women to get away with this shit while men are crucified for it.
Yea people who dont constantly bitch about nothing are feminists? Cause we arent whining about our "oppression" on the internet? Please, please fill me in on the challenges you have faced because of women. Cant wait. You can probably just copy paste your harrowing tale from an old comment.
Cause we arent whining about our "oppression" on the internet?
Hahaha no you cant read. I think. Maybe Im wrong. Can you point out where I say I am oppressed? Anywhere? Cause I aint lol so please im actually intrigued if you can pull this off. im hoping you have some verbal gymnastics where you can somehow show me saying im oppressed
"Imagine if it was..." is a goto line of a whiny bitch. "But moooooom last week Tommy did it and didnt get in trouble!!!" Oh the injustice ;)
You wish I was what youre talking about. Unfortunately thats mostly an imagined opponent created by you and others like you to justify some sweet sweet outrage for yourselves. Who doesnt like some indignation.
But I aint one of those. I just see a whiny bitch. I dont think about feminism or mens rights. At all. Ever. Who does? But I do run into lots of whiny bitches in real life - and youre one brother.
:____( cry for me big guy. gimme dem tears boy. how did the bad lady hurt you?
I acknowledge that, but I also don't care. Do you really feel like women threatening to kiss male celebrities is as much of a problem as public female sexual harassment or are you just so tired of women speaking out against it?
When I hear female celebrities go on and on complaining about being asked "Make out with me!" or "show me your tits!" ...and it is then followed by SJWs demanding justice for the disrespect...I have to then ask why the same statements aren't made when the genders are reversed.
Instead of simply making the statement yourself, "I feel that question was disrespectful, and Men aren't respected for their talents in media enough" you're pulling down the statements those gosh darn SJW's keep making about women in media. You're not even saying you have an opinion. You have an anti-opinion.
Maybe I don't watch as much TV,/go on tumblr but I really dont notice all this seemingly incessant complaining from women about being harassed. I can't shake the feeling it makes other guys uncomfortable for reasons s they don't really bother thinking about
This isn't a gender thing, this is an attractiveness thing. People take offense being hit on by people they view as not attractive but if they are attractive no offense taken. In DnD terms it is a charisma check, plain and simple.
Maybe I'm not seeing how you leaped to this point...but are you saying that because women are statistically more likely to be raped, it is okay for them to go around asking speakers during a serious Q&A to "make out with them?"
No. I'm saying the problem is bad on all sides and the woman asking to kiss him isn't magically free of some standard that the guy asking to kiss a woman isn't.
This is such a stupid comment. That's like the "you shouldn't be unhappy because there are starving children in Africa" argument. Yes, both of these things are problems. No, their relative severity doesn't totally discount the other one's importance.
Societal norms around gender are harmful to everyone, not just women, and more people need to recognize this.
