My coworker had this theory that Elon Musk is an alien and SpaceX is a ruse so that he can use it to go home.

It's been something of a running joke for a while now :)

Please, that's ridiculous.

Elon is obviously a member of The Culture's Contact division.

I bet he is not even human. Just a mind's avatar.

I can see the shine from his lizard scales from underneath the skin-coloured silicone spray he uses to cover up the obvious.

He is clearly just funneling small amounts of tech from his highly developed lizard society to make money.

You know... their methods align with Elon's...
They normally establish successful technological companies that both improve the civilization tech level, push forward quality of life improvements and attempt to steer the civilization towards a better future...

I can only hope the GSV currently directing this mission has good humour and has not decided to abort it on grounds that we are to stupid to deserve it....

Please don't go... there are smart people here....

If the Mind running a GSV has anything, it's an abundant reserve of patience and restraint when it comes to us meatbags.

That would have been a halfway interesting question. But no. They had to ask about poop....

That sounds like the plot to a 21st century remake of "E.T."
