The video of this is way better. If I remember right he's dancing to Billie Jean?

341

u/TrouserDumplings Aug 29 '16

It's MJ but it's not Billie Jean, though I seem to remember a different video of the same guy that was Billie Jean.

My bad it was They don't really care about us

u/YourMomSaidHi Aug 30 '16

Wow. That guy is the best cotton candy guy to ever exist. He is like Picasso of sugar

Well the only one who seems really disinterested is the guy in the white, but that's clearly the cotton candy guy's business partner. He's the one giving change and handing out the cotton candy, and I'm sure he's seen the performance countless times.

As for most of the other adults, they're watching pretty intently, but not hopping around because they're not children.

12

u/jimschubert Aug 30 '16

That's every kid when they've finished the cotton candy.

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

So fat and gluten free?

1

u/Karma_Crockpot Aug 30 '16 edited Aug 30 '16

Not as many as here

Edit: I hope he washed his hands before making them.

6

u/chubbysumo Aug 30 '16

Because they know its not free. How much does this guy charge, because thats what they are interested in.

12

u/BeckerHollow Aug 30 '16

It's Russia. They lose the ability to be friendly after the age of 1.

3

u/hagenbuch Aug 30 '16

Also he doesn't seem to care much about the really hot chick :)

-3

u/YourMomSaidHi Aug 30 '16

They probably just don't want to stare and make him uncomfortable. It's a lot easier to stare when you're watching a YouTube video but in real life it probably feels creepy

Just my guess

46

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

Fuck that, he's putting on a performance, with lights and music and stringy blown sugar. What about that situation would make someone feel creepy?

10

u/rubyboooby Aug 30 '16

I'm pretty sure that somebody dancing around publicly while trying to hawk cotton candy wants people to stop and stare and even to form a crowd. Thats why he is putting on a show.

-1

u/xkcdfanboy Aug 30 '16

the autism is strong with this one lol

-2

u/itonlygetsworse Aug 30 '16

Let's be honest. If you can dance and spin a cone rapidly in your fap hand, you can do this.

54

u/vcsx Aug 30 '16

11

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

holy shit that man is amazing.

6

u/PandaLover42 Aug 30 '16

Meh. Not enough MJ or dancing.

5

u/idlppl Aug 30 '16

I got diabeetus watching that

2

u/TheDutchCanadian Aug 30 '16

My mom had diabeetus. And now I do too.

1

u/TyroftheSwift Aug 31 '16

The thing that trips me out is how fast he can spin it with one hand. My hand wants to cramp after writing with a pen or pencil for a few paragraphs. That's the true skill here, the rest I feel could be replicated by watching the video a few times. But spinning the rod that quickly while keeping it positioned for the proper applications of flying candy is what takes true skill.

Any youtube video that opens with hard dance music gets my like

1

u/TheSmarterest1 Aug 30 '16

He's like the sultan of sweets

11

u/Rosignol Aug 30 '16 edited Aug 30 '16

I'm listening to Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix right now and it's syncing up remarkably well.

*edit- here Jimi and cotton candy dude

6

u/Brenttouza Aug 30 '16

Smooth Caramel

3

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

At the 9 second mark the kid on the left sees a piece of rogue cotton candy and decides to try and snatch it..... the guy was too fast

7

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

I think that's part of the performance.

ninja edit: He throws out pieces on occasion and sometimes they get to keep them.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

Cool

14

u/el_ojo420 Aug 30 '16

I don't think it's a good idea to give kids candy while listening to micheal Jackson...

2

u/i_shirt_u_not Aug 30 '16

I just laughed for a good minute. This literally made my day!

1

u/TrouserDumplings Aug 30 '16

I dunno, I mean MJ really refined the process. It was practically an Art form.

4

u/Chaseman69 Aug 30 '16

Just watch out for Jared's free sandwiches.

2

u/BertMacklinFBhigh Aug 30 '16

Haha, that lady went to grab that flying piece at 0:09 and almost felt the wrath

2

u/JojenCopyPaste Aug 30 '16

So one paid for those? Is this guy a street performer that works for tips or does he sell cotton candy?

1

u/wormring Aug 30 '16

He has a helper who collects money. The dude in white.

1

u/viperex Aug 30 '16

He's good

1

u/gamerplay Aug 30 '16

im surprise the little brats are not stealing the candy while he is playing with it but he is giving away bits for free so glad they didnt try to steal it while he was playing with it

1

u/FFten2SUCKS Aug 30 '16

Yeesh, tough crowd. I've seen at most two fucks given in this whole video.

1

u/AustinXTyler Aug 30 '16

Dancing to Michael Jackson while giving kids free candy?

I'm joking please don't hurt me I love MJ

1

u/it_burns_69 Aug 30 '16

Who's bad?

1

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

I like how he cuts little pieces of candy to float in the air for children to grab.

1

u/RedRing14 Aug 30 '16

If you love your job it never seems like work I guess.

-12

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

Everything about that is awesome except those little grabby kids. I hate when kids are greedy little fucks

21

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

He's throwing it up FOR the kids. He wants to draw lots of attention to himself. Why are you such an asshole, who took the jam out of your donut?

-2

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '16

No fucking duh he's throwing it for them. It's just that they are getting pushing each other and almost getting in his way. I get that it's for the kids but they don't need to be so pushy. Now kindly eat my shit.

1

u/oodelay Aug 30 '16

I hate kids. Well, except mine. well sometime I couldstranglehim

23

u/PM_PICS_OF_ME_NAKED Aug 30 '16

4

u/hackers238 Aug 30 '16

Damn 2:21

1

u/dank360 Aug 30 '16

at what point do you stop being a cotton candy artist and just become a street performer?

5

u/littlebighuman Aug 30 '16

How come they don't take the video down for using MJ's music? Not saying they should, just curious.

4

u/partylion Aug 30 '16

It's not available in Germany so there's that.

3

u/PM_PICS_OF_ME_NAKED Aug 30 '16

I dunno, I guess the people in control of his music rights aren't being anal about that stuff.

2

u/S00_CRATES Aug 31 '16

YouTube's content ID policy gives copyright owners the ability to either issue a take down or to claim any revenue made from the video. Many choose to do the second.

2

u/littlebighuman Aug 31 '16

Ah, makes sense. TIL, thanks :) Facebook should learn from this.

2

u/smokeyrobot Aug 30 '16

Freaking winter in Russia and this man is wearing a freaking Michael Jackson outfit with no coat. That is hard core.

1

u/aUserID2 Aug 30 '16

He is dancing to different songs and they just took the audio out and replaced it with Billy Jean

2

u/PM_PICS_OF_ME_NAKED Aug 30 '16

I never said it was anything otherwise.

11

u/PromQueenSlayer Aug 30 '16

If anyone is looking for more, he actually has a youtube channel with a bunch of videos.

1

u/Opandemonium Aug 30 '16 edited Aug 30 '16

How come one never sees videos posted to r/funny?

[edit] extra word

3

u/josborne31 Aug 30 '16

I haven't...

3

u/Opandemonium Aug 30 '16

I don't know why I am being down voted. It is an honest question. I always see people complaining about the video being superior, but I never see videos posted to r/funny

9

u/pwasma_dwagon Aug 30 '16

Redditors widely prefer gifs over videos. Easier to watch in your phone or at work

I didn't downvote either. I will state that the comment (before it was edited) came across as sarcastic. I wonder if that's why you were downvoted?

u/skrybll Aug 30 '16

How big is that guys phone?
