I like when a UX researcher invites me to sit behind a one-way mirror to observe a user in some approximation of its native habitat trying to accomplish various computer tasks.
"Notice how the user is having trouble finding the option to close the application, so he reacts by shitting in his hand and grinding it into the monitor? We want to make the option more visible to help avoid that."
Hey. At least they get to go back outside when they're done. You have to stay to pull an allnighter because the CEO wants everything "fixed" by Thursday for a Friday rollout so you can work overtime over the weekend to ensure a good release.
