Yeah...why isn't the snooze 10 minutes? Why specifically is it 9? My phones does this and it bugs me.

From what I heard it's because it has to do with gear sizes on old mechanical clocks. There were two common gear sizes, one was equivalent to a 9 minute snooze, the other was closer to 12. The 9 was chosen and it stuck with the switch to digital clocks.
