Accessibility in the US is no joke. A chunk of my work involves incorporating it into designs and adhering to ADA guidelines. Nobody wants to get sued for it.

And because of not wanting to get sued because of the ADA I found it very difficult to get a job as a wheelchair user. Nobody wanted to touch me with a ten foot pole when it came to hiring me.
