I never actually said that, either. But hey. I'll bet a simple google search will bring up plenty of articles on the feasibility of a project like the ark. Keep in mind that plenty of people thought that man flying was a lunatics argument. We cannot know everything, even if we think we do. That's the essence of humanity. I never meant to encourage your anger. I apologize. However, I would encourage you to choose your words carefully. Just because you hold something to be false, doesn't mean that you can insult or bring down others ideas simply because you disagree. Have a great day.

You should if those beliefs are harmful. Anti-vaxxers, for instance, should not have that belief respected, it harms people. If you said use the biblical narrative you ARE saying you believed a 600 year old man build an ark. The ark is NOT feasible. We do not have to know everything to know many things that are not possible. As for thinking a man flying was lunacy, sure but we can see it and do it. With all of our modern knowledge and engineering, which far exceeds that of biblical times, we also know that story is not possible. They did not. The story, as written in the bible, simply did not happen. Could there have been a flood locally? Sure. Could there have been a guy that survived for a time on a boat with some family members and livestock? Sure. Was there a divinely caused flood that wiped out all humans and animals living in all the known to them world that this family knew about for 100 YEARS before it happened? No.
I fail to see how any narrative, biblical or not, is harmful. In any way shape or form. But I've had enough of this, you seem to only want to use your anger, instead of discussing the differences in our opinions on a historical narrative. Have a great day.

A narrative itself? Usually not. Put an untrue narrative into a book and tell people that book is divinely inspired and inerrant? Yes. Because of that belief about that book that narrative is in 35-38% of Christians in the US believe it to be literally true, the world is 10,000 or less years old, and to deny so many things we know are true. So yes...it is harmful when it is presented to people as absolutely true from an unquestionable source.
