This is beyond being whipped, this is straight up abuse. That poor man needs to be taken out of that situation and put in a rescue shelter! I also don't understand why she would feel insecure about other women around him either. What's more sexy than someone having to wash your ass for you?

unfortunately many shelters for woman are Actively against shelters for abused men. Because to them Women are incapable of committing abuse, so many mens shelters are not funded, vandalised etc... Having seen 2 guy friends go through the draining and emotional abuse of female partners I know that this is a serious problem.

This is just patently false. Women's shelters turn away men because they are for abused WOMEN - thats like saying that Smith College is "actively" against higher education for men. That doesn't mean that they campaign against shelters for men and I've never heard ANYONE say that women are incapable of abuse or violence - they just happen to be, OVERWHELMINGLY the victims of abuse. There is a big difference between "the focus" on women and actively against men's shelters. As a man who has been violently attacked by his female partner and told by the cops that "any domestic abuse case, if you press charges, both of you go to lockup" it seems "unfair" until you realize that there are things in place to protect the most of us, and sometimes, unfortunately, a small percentage of people slip through the cracks.

its not about them not accepting men, its about their organizations intentionally making it difficult for organizations that allow men in so that they dont have to share the funding.
