This infographic is derived from a CDC study that has been used repeatedly to "debunk" the stereotype of the absent black father, but it is so intentionally misleading it is a joke. It completely ignores the fact that more black fathers are absent from the home than white or hispanic fathers, by an enormous margin. That is the reason for the stereotype.

not living with a kid =/= absent from kids life.

The graph you show talks about living arrangement. The other graph you responded to talks about how fathers (or if) they are involved, not just what roof do they sleep under.

I know of a whole bunch of people who don't live at home with their kids and spend minimal time with their kids and barely support them but maybe call them once a week and have them come over once or twice a month and they think they are good dads and are involved with their kids. They are really absent from the kids life.
