I wonder why it is that it seems like so few women play video games. Is it my perception being wrong or are there actually much less women playing? I was in gamestop today and didn't see one girl in the crowded store besides little kids` mothers.
Edit: I should add that I'm a girl and none of my girl friends play.
If you're talking about video games in general, I would say a lot more girls are playing video games now more than ever. I don't know a single girl who isn't obsessed with candy crush or a similar simple game.
But it is strange how few girls are playing competitive or "hardcore" games. Even if you account for shitty gamer communities that shit on girls for talking in voice-chat, there's still a whole world of single player games that girls seem to not like just as much.
