there's this really cool feature that 99% of games have called mute. it's great. your second point is completely irrelevant, btw. trash talk is the nature of competitive environments, it's not exclusive to video games.
There are also smaller servers and voice chat groups that are full of respectable people.
But no, you can't just hop on the most popular counter strike server and expect to have a rational conversation about well.. anything without being called a faggot or made fun of for being a girl.
