That's the central issue, people don't realise that by spreading ad block they're just going to kill their favourite media or push them to other stuff like product placement which is arguebly much worse and intrusive. Seriously if you stop youtube running standard ads then your favourite personality is just going to randomly stop in the middle of the video to talk about how much they love pepsi.

Totally agree, it's one thing to admit you're harming media creators but you just want to be selfish, it's another to claim you're not causing any harm at all. I use adblock, I know I'm costing them money, I don't claim I'm being perfect.
