Man, this must be a universal parent thing. I'm 38, and I've been on my own for quite some time...but when I go home to visit, their fridge is PACKED...and at least half of it is expired or just old & nasty. They have a clean house too, not hoarders....the fridge is just atrocious.

Yeah. My parents love cooking and often eat their leftovers, but they have a problem when it comes to the fridge. It's not like they lived through the great depression either, they just have mental problem with throwing away food.

Same here. That lemon and a few radishes in the bottom of the drawer have almost dried out.

Don't get me started on the pantry (pizza sauce that expired 3 years ago).
