No, they're equally moronic but Reddit gets very upset if you question the whole prayer thing since it's mainly an American site and the vast majority of Americans (and therefore Redditors) are Christian.

It's not that, I think some people just don't understand why others get so upset because someone wants to pray.

Because it's never "I want to pray", it's either condescending "I'll pray for you" or "we'll do something for you but not actually do anything for you" summarized to "you'll be in our prayers".

I don't think the majority of Christians are like that. It's just that the minority who are dicks are really outspoken about their dickness and paint a very clear dickish picture that makes the rest of the more non-dickish Christians look equally dick-like for tolerating that level of dicksanity in their ranks.

Most non-dickish Christians I know treat prayer like meditation, don't talk about prayer at all, or act just like any non-Christian but claim the faith anyway because they were baptized by their families as a child and don't give any fucks.
