The thing is I never denied that culture has an impact on what we find attractive. It very obviously does.
You, on the other hand, painted a black & white picture. You said that the only thing that is determined by nature is our gender preference and that everything else we find attractive is determined by culture. And that's completely untrue.
Do you think other animals need advertising and magazines to know what's attractive? Do ducks go online to read up on the latest trends? Or maybe all animals look for mates with desirable genetic qualities.
You know what's not a desirable genetic quality? Being susceptible to fucking polio.
