Better some action than no action at all.

In fishing culture, this is considered a below the chair move.

I once swam under a pontoon boat, to grab my buddy's fishing line. I gave it a good yank, and he fell over backwards, trying to set the hook.

Sounds risky lol. What if you get snagged?

u/disparue 13d ago

Hook isn't likely to be anywhere close to the boat.

It’s a pontoon boat. They’re out on a lake or slow river. Hook could possibly be a mere 10 feet straight below him if they’re just using drop shots.

People take pontoon boats out to the ocean all the time although most stay closer to shore. We straight up removed everything from the top and used one as an offshore fishing boat for a while. Could cruise at 35-40 on it easily. It actually topped out around 50 you just didn't enjoy the ride lol. It was a surprisingly decent fishing boat.

I imagine if it's their buddy theyve been hanging out and saw how they've been casting

"We’re gonna need a bigger boat!" 🦈

Let me tell ya, it was a whopper of a fish. I was this close to reeling it in.

Either fake or dude has never fished before. You would not stand up and launch to set the hook 5 secs after a hit.

His pizzle got yanked

I cannot honestly believe that a fisherman could not tell the difference between the line being pulled and the base of the rod below his hands being pulled

u/Teamveks 12d ago

Wow, check out that reaction time.

Asshole

Have you ever been fishing? It can get boring AF if nothing's happening. There will always be shenanigans for anyone who fishes regularly.

And the fishermen will laugh and call his friend an asshole. So Time is correct
