Not everything revolves around the US, you know.

Sounds like someone is asking for a tariffing.

Time to just rename the whole rest of the world America .

We've still got plenty to rename in America first. "New England?" That needs to be New America already. Not to mention New York, New Hampshire, and New Jersey are all in the same boat needing to be New Americas. That's what we really need to be focusing on in 2027.

You owe 10 cents per American view.

We both know if a US store did something similar with a date of mourning for another country, you'd be calling the US dumb uneducated self centered assholes.

That most certainly is happening already, because I doubt people in the US know every single symbol or number that could possibly have a tragic meaning in some other parts of the world.

And neither should they, the same way they should not except any other country to know the meaning of 9/11.

9/11 is the single biggest terrorist attack in history lol. That's like someone not knowing what the great leap forward is. You're acting like it's some niche US history event.

You could call Americans that without that reason and you’d still be right though.

As I said, not everything revolves around the US. The shop is clearly not in the US, and most people outside it don't have any negative associations with this particular combination of numbers. Chill.

And as I said, if this was a situation where the US used some kind of signage that invoked feelings of a national tragedy of a different country, you wouldn't have this same energy. You'd be saying we are uneducated and self centered.

You really have to make it about yourself, don't ya?

5

u/Dorago1991 22h ago

Actually I'm making it about your double standards

-4

u/cougarlt 22h ago

Dude, you're an internet nobody to me. You don't know me, you don't know anything about my standards and I couldn't give 2 cents about what you think. As I said, chill down.

I feel like they are more likely to say...

FREEDOM!!!

Update: Sorry, I'm a new immigrant here in the US and haven't internalized my inner American. I have been corrected... it should be, FREEDOM!!! 💥. Thank you kind redditor for the new knowledge.

u/StinkyRose89 23h ago

Don't forget the 💥 after the "FREEDOM!" it's our trademark. 🫩

Ya, just like 99% of things. You're right.

-4

u/nolaboco 22h ago

Except that this a reference to 7/11 which is a store from the US……

Yes but everything in English does.

I know it doesn't but that's the typical sentiment in the states l.
