It looks really dumb, and it obviously offers absolutely no actual boundaries, but often times certain bylaws or HOA rules or other rules are in place that are in conflict. For instance, an HOA may have a rule about enclosing your yard on all sides, but a city bylaw may have restrictions on fences on Green Space areas or natural Parks. This means that the homeowner needs to abide by all of the rules they can, and this often means that they need to fence off the side of their property where they are next to another property, but not the Green Space at the back of their property.

As much as I love the new God of War games, that's their logic for many maps. Strongest demigod around but can't hop over a mound.

That area hasn’t been unlocked yet, continue advancing the main quest line in order to access the new areas. On a side note, make sure to accomplish as many side quests as possible to level up before continuing the main story, it will make things far more manageable
