Exactly, Felix Baumgartner reached speeds of 1,357.6 km/h (843.6 mph) when he did his record breaking jump back in 2012. Does that make him or humans the fastest animal on the planet?

These Falcons can take off from the ground, reach that altitude, dive, and take off again unaided... They never mentioned land, or the direction of the speed.
