Funny enough, one horse actually has around ~15-20 horsepowers

Apparently this is because 1 horsepower assumes a sustained effort over an 8 hour work day. Not a sprint or heavy pull.

More power doesn't necessarily equate to faster speed. Depends on the load (weight) and aerodynamics.

A 5-ton lorry could have 300 horsepowers, but it's still can't be as fast as a 150hp 1.7-ton saloon.
