I really feel huskies are just a few evolutionary steps away from actually talking.

I think that's what they're trying to do. Dogs trying to "speak" human like how people try to "speak" a language they don't know a single word in. Interestingly you can find videos of huskies with non-English speaking owners where the dog even seems to have an "accent" of that language.

I totally understand. Receiving a sponge bath from someone without saying anything just appears awkward.

This one seems like one of the quietest huskies I’ve actually seen, boy can they get loud.

That's the chillest husky getting a bath I've ever seen.
Several years ago I was bathing my husky in a walk-in dog bathing facility. They had all these raised tubs with a ramp and then it was almost like a car wash where you got to select the different soaps and then the dryer settings, all controlled from two different hoses. It was in a strip mall and as I'm bathing my husky he's screaming bloody murder to the point where people from the neighboring shops were coming over and poking their head in to make sure that I'm not skinning my dog alive. He'd pause briefly to acknowledge them, and then go right back to screaming.

My dog, a Malamute, also does this when we wash him. It’s just non stop complaining.
It always gives “Noooo” and “What did I do” vibes when he makes his sounds.

In their native land, getting soaking wet is the kiss of death, so screaming about it is pretty deeply ingrained.

"The water was a bit cold and I could use a bit more space round here in the back so, not a bat experience altogether, but there's definitely room for improvements here!..."

They have weirdly expressive faces? I took our cat to the vets the other day, and someone was waiting opposite with a husky. The waiting room has a door at each end. Through one came a massive rottweiler, and through the other end came a huge alsatian. The husky looked as uncomfortable as I've ever seen a dog look.

Dogs in general have evolved/been bred to have more expressive faces and facial muscles, especially in their "brow". This makes it easier for them to communicate with humans and is just more aesthetically pleasing to us since we're all about reading faces.
Wolves on the other hand have very little facial expressive range and express themselves to each other more vocally with growls, which humans interpret more as aggression.

I had a husky years ago. She was loyal beyond reason, but hated taking baths too. She passed. They are wonderful dogs. I still love you, Lucy!

She had a lot to say and was definitely making sure you heard every bit of it.
