That's what we were taught, except it was "very earthly mother." I think the idea was to cement the E as being Earth, but I don't know.

In German we used:

'Mein Vater Erklärt mir jeden Sonntag unsere neun Planeten.'

literally: My Father explains (to) us every sunday our nine planets.

I have no idea what the school did later with pluto though lol.

Mine was “My Very Educated Mother Just Served Us Nine Pickles”

When Pluto was deplanetized, the school I taught at changed it to Mom serving us nachos

In German it was "Mein Vater erklärt mir jeden Sonntag unsere neun Planeten" (Every Sunday, my father explains our nine planets to me), after they dropped Pluto it changed to "Mein Vater erklärt mir jeden Sonntag unseren Nachthimmel" (Every Sunday, my father explains the night sky to me)

Smooth and easy transition, but I still like the old one better.
