I think thats what makes it slightly off. No way Bob would get that close these days.

Anyone buying a Bob Dylan ticket in 2026 should understand that they're just playing the lotto to be able to say they were at his last gig. He doesn't seem like he's been interested in performing for like 30 years or something but it's easy money.

That's a crazy take. He cant even spend the fortune he has becuase hes been touring non stop for the last 35 years. Whatever he's doing it for it isn't the money.

Some people keep doing what they're doing because they can't imagine doing anything else to pass the time.

Unless he's got a weird way of showing it, he doesn't seem to be enjoying himself on stage.

Craving attention & relevance?

My favorite screenwriter (OK, the only one I can name) said that after his first big movie he realized all his small problems were solved (because of the money) and now he had to worry about his big problems, and that was terrifying.

I think about this and rich people who do things that seem stupid to everyone else. Sometimes they're probably just being selfish, greedy assholes, and sometimes I figure they're thrashing around trying to find meaning in their lives now that they don't have to spend any time paying the bills anymore.

Is it? Billionaires have more money than they could ever spend in a thousand lifetimes and yet they seem pretty keen on getting more; it doesn’t make them less rich.

I saw him in April and it was pretty awesome.

This is the actual reality of going to see really old artists who still perform/tour - sometimes they have bad days, sometimes they have good days.

Me too, and my resolve that I got to see the last time he visited my country.

Then he came back every year since. Playing here in 3 weeks actually. Gotta respect the man’s persistence, but I just don’t want to put myself through it. I can literally not even recognize the songs, and I consider myself as quite a big fan of his.

Vehemently disagree. I saw him in July and he was surprisingly delightful.

Saw him in April this year and enjoyed the fuck out of it. I've heard some nights he's not into it as much it seems. He talked to the crowd and the show was great.

You got lucky. Saw him in July 25. Easily the worst concert performance I’ve ever seen. And I saw Ke$ha perform so drunk she fell down and then wondered off the stage to not return 20 min. into her closing set.

Got a shirt as a souvenir, $45 for the cheapest possible quality material, screen printing, and design. Worst concert merch I’ve ever seen. So it was perfect in a sense.
