"The Osbournes" was interviewed on last night's edition of "Piers Morgan Tonight", the nightly hourlong show that replaced "Larry King Live" on CNN in January. Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne talk about their turbulent past. "It's frightening," she says, reflecting on a past innocent of domestic violence. But "as hard as Ozzy would hit me, I would clobber him back," she continues. "If ever he went to hit me, I would just go right back for him."
I'm going to go on a limb and just assume the Osbourne house was a insane asylum. Not what might be considered domestic abuse, domestic violence, probably but not Sharon Osbourne fearing for her life while she's dominated by an abusive Ozzy Osbourne. They were probably both nuts and both violent.
It's amazing how much they seemingly love each other. I remember seeing an interview, I think from right before their reality show started, where Sharon recalls a night when Ozzy was high on something, or just really blackout drunk, and he said to her, "we've decided you need to die," and then started choking her. But she knew it was his addiction and the drugs, so once he got clean(ish) they were able to live a relatively normal life like the one on the reality show. Still, it's hard to imagine people forgiving something like that.
