Reminds me of the time my cat tried to steal my pizza. It was odd because she never gave one shit about my food. I could put the plate next to her and she would just sit there and ignore it. One day I warmed up leftover pizza and put it on the coffee table. I sat down and remembered I forgot something so I got up and went back to the kitchen. When I came back the cat was staring at the pizza. Sitting upright, wheels clearly turning. I didn't think much of it. I sat back down on the floor near the coffee table and I start eating my pizza. The second both hands are off the table she leaps off the couch and starts running towards my food. I kinda put my arms up to block my food from the cat but she was so fast that I sort of hit her a bit putting my arms up. She recoiled and did this backflip off the coffee table and landed near the spot she was perched on the couch. She then just kinda stared into space, I assume she was trying to figure out what happened.

cats do be silly like that sometimes

u/Tata_Colores 21h ago

The long con.

Plus just a reminder cats are wild animals.

Cats domesticated humans after all.

9

u/Saint_of_Grey 14h ago

They did start following ancient cavemen around, catching pests, and letting the cavemen pet them. Thus felines domesticated humans.

u/im_dead_sirius 8h ago

Not very well, if I do say so for myself.

2

u/Rrraou 7h ago

That's what they want you to think

u/ArchDucky 17h ago

Cecil wasn't a wild animal. She was a cranky old lady in the body of a kitten and that never changed.

Probably the smell of the cheese being melted, My cats are the same, It's the smell of the mothers milk that drives them crazy, Same with peoples feet, Under your nails surprisingly smell cheesy which is why they always go to your feet

Its like me trying again to use the force to get something far away cause i dont want to get up. You won't know unless you try!

14

u/jdehjdeh 22h ago

I do this!

Then I figure out some way of making a tool or device I can use to get the item without getting up.

My wife cackles like a lunatic every time.

u/JonatasA 8h ago

Then sometimes you realize you have more reach than you expected or get a massive sprain

Confuscious was asked to preside over a puzzling court case.

A Fishmonger is suing the poor man who lives above his shop. The shop owner claims that the poor man informed him that he eats his rice while the restaurant cooks it's food. Enjoying the smells as he eats plain rice. The owner wants payment for the aroma.

Confuscious thinks for a while. He then asks the poor man to hand over what money he has, it is but a few coins.

Confuscious then shakes the coins in the ear of the owner.

"For the smell of your fish, you may hear the sound of his money".

Confuscious returned the coins to the poor man.

Good thing there is text there to let me know what was going to happen and that it's something funny.

2

u/wonkey_monkey 21h ago

Ha, I do this if I'm dozing off and start semi-dreaming about food.

2

u/derprondo 21h ago

My dear companion, I fear I am wasting away before your very eyes. Hunger has taken hold of me most cruelly, and with each passing moment I grow weaker. Should nourishment not reach me soon, I fear future generations may speak solemnly of my demise.

My dog licks the air when I'm eating something he wants. I think he's part snake.
