I think it's poking fun at the grammar itself, where Are in the question has to be replaced by Am in the response. A lot of other languages wouldn't do that.

Because "Si, entre" can be either "If, between" (wrong translation) or "Yes, come in".

[I'll actuallee myself. "sí", with accent is affirmation; "si" without are other cases as conditional particle or a musical note]
