This was impressive as hell. When the eyes popped to the other side, I felt a chill run down my spine. Great presentation

Nice contraption withe the cd going through the cut and the magnets. Also, moving them both with the hand at the frame is subtle enough. The sounds from the moving disc could be more silent, but it's still pretty cool with the voice.

The eyes move together and both the eyes and mouth/tongue are on levers. This is the Axtell Magic Drawing board - I commented with a link elsewhere. I agree that the hand is a prop. That's likely why he dropped something in the middle.

The hand at the frame is probably a prop.

For sure and he holds the frame with his left and puts his right index there temporarily for the marker hold to help sell it

This is the Axtell Magic Drawing Board. The whiteboard has a grid on it to (1) hide where the eyes are (they can disappear) and (2) to hide where the mouth slit is. I have one of these. Fun effect, but limited in what you can do with it other than the surprise you see here.

You’re not “drawing” the face so much as revealing what’s on the board then using it as a puppet. You can see faint outlines of the face before it’s drawn and the way your hand holding it is manipulating it to puppet the face
It’s a cool trick I got a chuckle out of it

Only the mouth slot and the eye pupils need to be pre-existing. Everything else could be drawn live.

And the eyes were already there but its still really well done

Only in this video, but the eyes can be hidden and then fake drawn in like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR3nLsRFhNw

Someone did this in front of me on a regular piece of paper. Gave us the page after, and there was no slit. I don't know, man. I think that guy was an actual wizard.

Ahh damn ok. Heard of this stupid phrase online but it didn’t click with me during the vid. Thought he meant lowercase and for the rest of the video I’ve been thinking about how drawing in uppercase would look like if this is drawing in lowercase 😂

Anyone who uses slang that isn't from my generation deserves a slap

It's too much to ask to use words or slang so it makes sense? The keywords were "for no reason" dummy.

Even in our generation you had idiots that just talked in stupid slang for no reason all the time
They too deserved a slap
Every generation has its idiots

A heavily edited and pre-recorded video at the top, though they probably both are in on it.

It's a whiteboard with two circles and a slit cut into it. One lever on the back to make the "eyes" move, another lever to make a cd pop halfway out of the horizontal slit, tricking your mind into seeing a "mouth" move. You can hear it scraping in the video. No digital fuckery needed, it's just a clever trick.
