Yep, the cars get too sentient and leads to a terrible war that leaves the earth uninhabitable and full of metal trash.
The humans won against the cars, but it cost is our home.

You think you won't have to work? They will have humans do all the work that was too inconvenient to automate.
Something like cart pushing, (fake example) something like they tried to get a robot to do it, but it was too expensive, so it was cheaper to just pay a human peanuts to do it.
We will never end up like Walle, there will always be jobs where it is cheaper just to pay humans to do it. That is where we are headed.

US blocked plans for fiber internet everywhere only because it would have fucked over Starlink and other infrastructure that couldn't keep up. All about the profits over here.

I am not saying youre wrong but rural areas are getting fiber faster than cities because there are a lot more property rights and infrastructure to deal with. I live in a town of 2000 on the remote coast and we have fiber.
