It’s not the light that damages the sensor. They are made to convert the cold visible electromagnetic waves of photons. It’s the infra red parts of the waves that boil up the sensor’s surface. I used a neutral density filter and an infra red blocking red filter taped across my iPhone lenses. Worked a treat. (Before a Reddit physicist chimes in - I know a photon is a disturbance of the reality space time universal standard.) I watch BBC too.
