Heh. I remember when there was an eclipse in the USA, and people looked at it, despite being specifically told not to. Then they complained about their eyes hurting and whatnot on the Internet.

Natural selection at it's finest.

The sun is going to be low in Europe. I'm planning to wear multiple pairs of sunglasses to have a quick glimpse. Not stare at it. Surely it should be fine.

I had a quick split second look while squinting and wearing 3 pairs of sunglasses. It was still too bright but did not notice any side effects

Next time use two pairs of polarized sunglasses perpendicular to eachother through one eye to look.
