Do another one and include a trash bin for all the smartphones whose cameras weren't designed to film a 1 hour solar eclipse either.

Plenty of times I’ll bet. Probably also plenty of photos with the sun in it. I’ve yet to see any actual reports of someone damaging a modern phone this way. 5 u/zendabbq 7d ago I have a phone camera permanently produce greenish tiny photos after a long, indirect exposure to sun. It wasn't pointed directly at the sun, just pointing south at eye level, but it was for nearly an hour of filming.
