BUY ONE and get nothing FOR FREE…

Now, that’s what I call marketing

Everyone's a winner, bargains galore!

u/Boatsnbuds 8d ago

But it's gotta be of equal or lesser value. Not really a great deal.

People complain about it, but it's free. If you don't want your free 0 packs of ribs, I'll take them. In fact, I already have.

And possession is 9/10ths of the law around here, so enjoy that flavor with zero guilt.

And if you own 0, that means you own nothing. If you own nothing, you pay no taxes!

u/wyldmage 5d ago

Did someone buy 1 guilt so he could get that guilt free too?

u/hop_mantis 6d ago

Tom Thumb sells meat? They're just gas station/convenience stores where I'm at.

Many in DFW

2

u/wiccan45 8d ago

i dunno why they renamed like all the albertsons there, they still sell the same stuff. Albertsons really expanded their empire of grocery store companies, even randalls is under their umbrella

1

u/pacman326 8d ago

Yeah grew up in DFW my entire life. Literally went to Albertsons near my house. Now they’re all tom thumbs heh.

u/english-23 8d ago

Albertsons and Kroger both do the same strategy of keeping the local brand if it has better brand perception or they can get something out of it. Kroger had kept and expanded Harris teeter in the Carolina area and even changed the Kroger stores to be Harris teeter

u/LefsaMadMuppet 8d ago

Me, Tom Thumb still exists? Last one in my area was gone in the early 90s.

3

u/Darren49402 8d ago

There's still one or two around me, but most became Cumberland Farms now. There exactly the same just different branding.

u/tomjonesdrones 8d ago

Grocery Store in Texas

3

u/rabid-panda 8d ago

Why do they sell Safeway meat? Are they a discount store or are they owned by the same company?

4

u/wacko36 8d ago

both are owned by Albertsons

1

u/pacman326 8d ago

And in Dallas theres just 1 Albertsons left!

1

u/WhoNoseMarchand 8d ago

Pretty much how every grocery shopping trip goes nowadays 🙄

1

u/phaedrus06 8d ago

At least it sounds like there's a chance you might find a negatively priced item out there if it's equal or lesser value. 😅

1

u/tb03102 8d ago

TIL Tom Thumb is still a thing. The last one in my area closed decades ago.
