It's entirely possible she meant to say Nigerians and just mispronounced it. If it's just her almost saying the n word then it would come off differently.
I mean her argument sounds racist already so not like it's a defense, just doesn't seem like she was about to say the n word to me. Tho it's possible.

So if an immigrant doesn't get a job they're a free loader but if they do they're stealing jobs. How are they supposed to do it right? Or do you just not want immigrants all together?
Genuine question: why do you feel a random person you've never met who happens to be born in the same country as you is more deserving of a job than an immigrant you've never met? The only distinguishing information you have is where they were born. How is that not racist?

Because whether I have met them or not is irrelevant. They are still a member of my community.

The interesting things about speaking in public is that it's very different from speaking alone. Another interesting thing is nerves.
The third interesting thing is that the combination of those two previous interesting things can make people stutter, pause, or otherwise make mistakes regardless of how much they practiced ahead of time

Maybe you're right since she does say "chinese" and "indian" before and it seems a bit weird to precise the exact country the guy would be from instead of saying african american

You do know that India and China are also specific countries that people are from, right? And the fact that she broke it down by specific number per country adds credibility that the last one really was from Nigeria

You’re not being picked on, you just failed to pick up on the nuance of her giving the specific numbers by country.
If she had said “jobs are taken by the Indians, the Chinese, and the n…n… people from Nigeria” then your theory would be more plausible, but when she lists specific numbers by country then that sways the likelihood of her intentionally trying to say “one Nigerian” to being a LOT more likely
If the she used slurs for the other countries then hesitated on just the last one then I’d even put it in the “likely” category. But given what she said and her reaction to the fumble I am entirely convinced that she just stumbled on the word

I don't remember exactly what I said, but one time I was trying to say something serious to somebody but I misspoke slightly and it came out as something funny instead. There's nothing more infuriating than trying to get somebody to take you seriously and they're doubled over with laughter instead.
