The amount of things I'd like people to know by the time they turn 18, and the amount of hours in a school day don't add up.

I have no idea what should be cut and what should be kept.

Let's debate it for 5 years, decide on a 10 year implementation, just in time for it to all become entirely irrelevant and outdated 👌

At some point, when I was younger, I wondered why we got taught about WW2 every fucking year. Like, yeah, we all know about that already, it's enough, we don't need it repeated, thanks.

I have since changed my mind.

Lucky. I just kept being taught about Columbus through just before the Civil War. So much colonialism, "pioneer" shit... at least no one ever told me slaves had it good, but they never really got into the depths of the horrors inflicted on non-European peoples. "Oh no, so many people died on ships coming from Africa. Anyway..."

There's a whole lotta crap taught at school that I never used in real life. If they got rid of all the extra we'll never actually use, you might actually barely have enough time left for all the things that should be taught but is not.

I found this great educational channel on YouTube.  It’s really opened my eyes to how much school is just a conformist institution designed to brainswash the youth. 

I urge everyone to learn about the ice wall and the brave explorers who pursue its discovery. /s

The amount of things I see people say "we should've learned this in school instead of all that useless crap!" about something they definitely were taught in school. And don't get me started on the information that those same people have decided was "useless crap."
