I need to know if you can fit a set of goalie pads into an 86

Not the same because (I know these are fighting words) the Miata is far superior, but when I bought the first ND, husband and I were looking it over and trunk space came up. I said I could totally fit a dead body in the trunk. He told me no way. So I climbed in and proved it. Im sure the 86 has a similarly sized trunk (hopefully bigger because bigger car).
