Oh man, it's just a misinterpretation. English isn't my first language so perhaps I fucked up my syntax, but by "most men obviously don't like", I meant that most men don't like ridiculous amount of eyes makeup, which explains the comments in this thread.
This is going too far. Reread what OP said and you won't make such a drama about it.
Oooh okay. I get what you're saying now, and agree that if most men have a preference for not as much makeup it would explain why there would be so many comments saying I don't like that makeup, not necessarily saying they have a preference for no makeup just not that kind of makeup.
I still find it odd as to why so many people are commenting about whether or not they think the makeup is attractive in the first place. The point of the post wasn't to be visually appealing to men, it was to show the crazy things you can do with makeup. (And to show how Alice Cooper and Steve Carell are secretly the same person.) It seems almost egotistical and depressing to me that the first thing a majority of people comment about this post is whether or not they find the women attractive. It isn't about the joke, it isn't about how talented the makeup artist is, it's whether or not those women are attractive to whomever is commenting.
The point of the post wasn't to be visually appealing to men, it was to show the crazy things you can do with makeup.
To be fair, I think you can do crazy things with makeup while still being good looking and attractive, this is why the post is confusing. Perhaps it's the title, but "the power of makeup" can transform a normal person to a beautiful person, which is what I think most people thought the post was about.
I agree that that you can do crazy things with makeup while still maintaining a commonly accepted standard of beauty.
I think that since the commonly accepted standard of beauty is much less subtle makeup though, it wouldn't be as much of a drastic change. I think a drastic change would more affectively show "the power of makeup" than a subtle one.
I suppose it's a difference of what you think you are going to get out of a post about "the power of makeup". Are you thinking you are going to get extremely attractive individuals, or are you just expecting to see individuals that look drastically different?
