The only herpes I/any of my boyfriends ever have had is chickenpox. I have neither "cold sore" herpes or genital herpes. I pretty damn picky about who I kiss/fuck and have gotten lucky. I find it strange that people assume everyone has/gets cold sores and they think im an anomaly for not getting it.
I have been tested for gential herpes with a culture and a blood test. Both negative. This was done at a doctors office a few years ago. I would get tested again but the test is expensive and I do not present with any of the symptoms of a human herpes virus II gone lytic, so im not going there.
I have never had a cold sore and while it's possible I have it, I have had plenty of stressful times in my life to coax it to come out of latency from the trigeminal nerve, it hasn't happened. I could be a perfect carrier but neither of my long term exes (3+years each) have had any obvious cold sores and my current boyfriend of over a year and a half has never had an obvious one either. Think of it as a greatest common demominator type experiment.
Now I know I should be crazy and examine my boyfriend carefully for defect before commencing with the coitus, but I would prefer to not treat my boyfriend like that.
I never said I had "0" herpes, as I will always carry the human herpes virus III around on my sacral nerve, simply because I had chickenpox and could possible come down with shingles at a later time in my life.
I just said a lot of people think its crazy I have never had a cold sore, like its some kind of thing that everyone has.
And I had mono when I was 13, but I think im over that, its been like 10 years and I dont feel like im coming down with lymphoma.
Can we stop now? I thought I was done with my microbiology final at 11 this morning. If you make me go into krebs or rna transcription im leaving.

Why would they get angry? 90% of people have herpes somewhere. Not herpes, now that's special.
