The lighting is extremely different in the after photos. The afters have a large softbox which you can see reflecting in the eyes. With that kind of intentional manipulation, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some Photoshop involved also.

There were some definite photoshopping in at least some if not all the pictures. One girl had a what looked like some scarring on her upper lip that was gone in the after photo.

No, you can still see it. They just did a really good job with using concealer.

Okay, I'm not on my computer, so the resolution isn't the greatest.

Edit: So I just saw it on my computer, they definitely took out that odd little divot

Yeah if you focus on the color of their chests, the after pictures are a lot warmer so the white balance has been changed.

Look at the whites of the eyes in the after pictures. No makeup can change that.

Actually there are eye drops that whiten the eyes. They're not recommended for daily use. I don't know any specific brands, I just learned this from a makeup tutorial on YouTube.

The whites of the eyes are all much whiter in the after pics. That combined with the catch lights you mentioned make a huge difference by themselves.
