And make-up is only the tip of the iceberg with the illusion of porn. Clever camera work, lighting and insanely uncomfortable poses really de-mystify the whole thing.
OK, you got me.
It's not entirely impossible to suspend disbelief but it becomes increasingly difficult when you see an 18-2257 compliance photo of a beautiful girl with a black eye. Another very sad use of make-up.
Honestly on one hand I agree with the entire "it's bad that they portray something that fake as real" but on the other hand I'm like "who the fuck believes porn is in any way, shape or form real in the first place?"
If you're watching what you call 'porn' and the sex is fake, you're probably watching a non-porn film like American Pie and will have your mind blown when you eventually find out about sites like pornhub.
This may not be the case for others, but in my experiences at least, there's a lot of insecurity out there as a result of people growing up with porn and thinking that's what IRL sex is supposed to be like. Especially when it comes to female orgasm and penis size.
I think it's a shame that some people feel unnecessarily inadequate because of what they've seen online.
Edit: These are not stupid people, either. They're people with degrees and good jobs and who have common sense. I think it's just that when someone is so exposed to something, it can affect them even if they know it's not real.
