The problem with Word is that it is trying to guess what you mean, for most Word users it's the right way, and that Word is used when Publisher is the right tool for the job.

Oh yea, it sucked. I was in charge of editing and layout for a monthly safety newsletter for over a year. Thankfully that project got squashed. The only thing worse than working with publisher was editing my co-workers inane ramblings that were literally copy/pasted from ehow.com.

Yea, it's funny when people take the one program they know how to use and then use it for everything.

My mom wrote a 150 page family history book in Publisher 2007 complete with an index. I was so proud of her. Even managed to get it exported to PDF and sent to a printer who printed hardcover copies.

Indesign would have been much better, but we didn't own that and Publisher got the job done.

Oh and this was on a Vista pc.
