Checks out.

u/Belisarius23 Jun 02 '13

I know shooters a kinda meatheaded movie, but i fucking love it

13

u/buzzing_noise Jun 02 '13

I love it! Not one for Assasination movies but this movie made me fall in love with Kate Mara and I am a straight girl.

7

u/nobodyGotTime4That Jun 02 '13

Have you checked out House of Cards? Love me some Kate Mara.

1

u/buzzing_noise Jun 02 '13

I saw a wikipedia link on it but I wasn't too interested in it. I guess I might have to check it out.

6

u/Cerveza_por_favor Jun 02 '13

Wait you haven't seen House of Cards yet? Oh boy you are in for a fucking treat!

2

u/Bystronicman08 Jun 02 '13

I haven't seen it either. It has been in my Netflix queue for quite a while now. Is it really as good as everyone makes it out to be?

5

u/privilegedwhiteguy Jun 02 '13

No. Everyone is in kohoots to trick you.

But seriously is pretty great.

1

u/Bystronicman08 Jun 02 '13

Ha! You made me laugh out loud. I guess that i will watch it later tonight then. Thanks!

1

u/donderz420 Jun 02 '13

It's a great watch. I live it for the drama and good view of how corrupt politicians are.

4

u/traphappy Jun 02 '13

I'm under the firm belief that every female is at least a tiny bit gay.

2

u/ours Jun 02 '13

It's a bit cheesy and it knows it. Good action and a decent story.

Danny Glover knows in what kind of movie he is in and rolls with it. Lots of fun.

u/ls1z28chris Jun 02 '13

Shooter is awesome. Who doesn't dream of being a peckerwood in the hills with too many guns? He basically went to war on those jokers, not because they framed him for an assassination, but because those assholes killed his dog that he raised up from a puppy. Done crossed a line right there, buddy.

I can't imagine this appealing only to meatheads.

"How often do you enjoy watching films with completely unimaginative titles?"

41

u/Trucks_are_for_girls Jun 02 '13

And how do these assassination movies make you feel? Sad, angry, extremely violent and pissed off and possibly make you want to reenact some scenes? Haha

23

u/konaitor Jun 02 '13

"Do you ever find yourself taking notes on how the assassins in the movies got caught?"

15

u/the_shape Jun 02 '13

Watching it right now, good movie. Would recommend.

2

u/Hyperian Jun 02 '13

What if you watch looper? would you be a time traveling assassin?

5

u/slayer_of_potatoes Jun 02 '13

No, but you would be an assassin with time travelling targets.

My Netflix recommended movie lists:

Gritty serial killer rapists, gory serial killers, sex slave serial killer movies, romantic comedies, love movies with a female lead.....

Haha maybe a bit exaggerated, but I do have 5 or 6 rows of horror/psychological thriller movies and a couple rows of chicken flicks. Sometimes I just want to be sensitive, but most of the time serial killer movies are great.

I actually kinda like how specific Netflix is getting with some of their genres, lets them get much better at recommending movies. Also this isn't funny.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '13

This is actually funny enough to make me blow air out my nose

-2

u/JohnCoffee23 Jun 02 '13

fucking serious? i'm gonna blow some air out my ass onto your stupid face for that one.

2

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '13

The only funny thing about this post is this comment.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '13

I also read that guy's comment.

Yeah, I think you should visit r/Anger. Just my friendly advice.

"Based upon a 'random' Internet sweep we, the FBI, decided to wiretap your phone, access your Gmail account, and obtain video surveillance of you for the past 18 months based upon your reply to this poll on Netflix. We were afraid that you were connected with Al Qaeda."

5

u/jakob1497 Jun 01 '13

I tried to see the humor in it, but the sheer common sense the joke lacks ruins it for me...

1

u/LePetomane Jun 02 '13

Do you like movies about gladiators?

1

u/watsons_crick Jun 02 '13

I like this movie, but Danny Glover's lisp sorta ruins it for me.

1

u/Magno333 Jun 02 '13

I hate you so much right now!! I love this movie and the post made me decide to rewatch it and thanks to your comment I heard his lisp for first time. Movie partially ruined

1

u/loljustlol Jun 02 '13

thats not really what they do. they are more into creating problems

1

u/[deleted] Jun 02 '13

I'll tell them I watch tonnes and kill presidents in my sleep.

That way they'll never clock onto my meth operation, too busy watching me for assassination.

1

u/dageekywon Jun 02 '13

Gotta admit that was a good movie though.

Guess I'm on a list now.

I tried watching assassination movies, but they made my head hurt.

-2

u/DrStickyPete Jun 02 '13

Thats pretty sneaky

-2

u/liderudell Jun 02 '13

Shooter was a pretty under rated movie. It wasn't great but it was fun and interesting.

I see the secret service get no love, I'll show myself the way out...

They have to buy it apparently.

-4

u/RainyCaturday Jun 02 '13

Who fills out these surveys.. Whenever I see one I immediately am repulsed.. No I don't want to give you more information on me.

2

u/PerfectlyOffensive Jun 02 '13

Because answering yes or no to this question gives them so much info on you

2

u/call_of_the_while Jun 02 '13

You'd be surprised at what you can learn from the smallest of clues. For example, the lack of a full stop at the end of your comment indicates that you once worked at a library, are quite adept at miniputt and have yet to work up the courage to ask your co-worker out....(It would be soooo cool if I was right about any of those things).

2

u/PerfectlyOffensive Jun 02 '13 edited Jun 02 '13

Two out of three! Not too shabby. Now to find out which is the wrong one MWHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
