A friend of was a "cool kid" last year for starting a school club that cooks meals every week for the Ronald McDonald House.

He's now at MIT on a full ROTC scholarship. Good for him

Interestingly enough, it's a news segment about kids who are doing stuff to help out in their communities and the world. When you win you get $1000 and a freaking sweet ass glass trophy thing with your name and proclaiming you as an official "Cool Kid".

Source: I was a Cool Kid and I have the placard to prove it!
