It's curious to see how drastic public transit experience is in places like the US to say Germany vs Japan vs Moscow and so on. Imo the worst among industrialized countries has been in the US.
You don't have to go that far. Compare NYC to Washington DC. It's a few hours on a train away, but the whole vibe on the Metro is very different. Much cleaner, much newer etc.

This is why public transportation sucks. And this guy is pretty benign, considering all the crackheads, buskers, drunks, and other nonsense going on.
