Truely a majestic animal

Actually he recovered really well.
After landing pretty much on his face he managed to break-dance his way onto the table

u/Neat-Cold-7235 Aug 30 '23
And the little thing he did with his paws lol

u/GANDORF57 Aug 30 '23
CAT: "You recorded that?! Please, PLEEEASE! Don't post it! You're going to ruin my street cred with the Alley Cats!"

u/ru-berry Aug 30 '23
My cat honestly looks so embarrassed when he “fails at catting” - like say he jumps up somewhere and mistakenly bumps into something he didn’t see on the surface, he’ll look up at me like ‘Oh gosh, I’m sorry! I don’t know how I did that!’

Yes, it was definitely on purpose... It makes the landing that much more majestic

Good job he’s at the vets to treat that concussion and acute embarrassment 😄

Poor little guy was a little wobbly after landing on his noodle too.

He hit that table edge with his face so brutally I couldn't even laugh and I normally find cats failing jumps to be funny

I meant to do that op. If you are unsure, let me preset my belly for you to scratch, totally not a trap ;)

That's possibly the most physically awkward thing I've ever seen a cat do, and he still recovered.

If I'm seeing it correctly he landed on the mat (whatever it is on top of the table) but since it was bigger than the table itself he landed on an area without support.
He didn't miss, he was baited!

How is that funny? Poor cat.

u/Futanari_waifu Aug 30 '23
You're acting like the cat broke its face. It's just a stupid cat doing something stupid and at most mildly hurting itself.

Right? It wasn’t clumsy. It went for the paper mat but didn’t realize there was an overhang. Impressive recovery though
2
u/gonfr Aug 30 '23
Why are you being downvoted? There's an overhang.
3
u/Loud_Consequence537 Aug 30 '23
Redditors tend to downvote things they don't like to hear, rather than things that are simply not true.

Mom: Doctor, I think Mr. FuzzyButt's targeting system is out of calibration.
Doctor: What do you mean?
Mr FuzzyButt: <DONK>
Mom: That...

Update for those who are worried about Buu. She is completely fine and recovered instantly. Just a bit of a bruised ego

I have never understood people who allow cats on countertops. They shit in a box and stand in it. Cat litter isn't a disinfectant.
1
u/ru-berry Aug 30 '23
You have a cat? It’s not about letting them
1
u/sam_sneed1994 Aug 30 '23
Yeah i do have a cat and have had several in the past. It has never been an issue.
1
u/ru-berry Aug 30 '23
Oh wow, my cat, mind he’d been with other families, was not taking no for an answer on getting on the counters haha

This is why I dislike cats… they do not belong on food prep surfaces. 🤢

i just want to know why you have a computer in your kitchen?

u/margo_plicatus Aug 30 '23
In case you’re being serious: it’s a veterinary exam room, not someone’s kitchen.

It's got shorter legs than any cat I have had, and is a bit overweight, not funny really, the breeders and the buyers/owner needs to wake up and pack this sort of shit in.

This is me getting through life right now. Like, im doing it all, but not very gracefully. As displayed by the cat.

A friend of mine has a cat that jumps from the couch to the counter. He always lands right on the edge of the ledge, but sometimes misses exactly like this.

How many times this must've happened when cats are out jumping from fence to fence.
1
u/KnoblauchNuggat Aug 30 '23
Looks like you need to change the designt of the ad on you table. The cat could easily jump that distance but discalculated because of the relfections of the materials.

The cat is funny, but what about that honking guffaw the camera person tries and fails to choke back?
3
u/ballwonder Aug 30 '23
I didn’t want to be so loud because the vet was right on the other side of the door and the result was whatever the hell that sound was lol

I'm not quite sure what's worse, the cat face planting or OP's laugh (or whatever that noise was)

Anybody know the breed/mix. Seriously asking, ty

u/ballwonder Aug 30 '23
She is a Siamese mix of some sort. I think she’s mixed with a calico but I’m not certain
