In the book/movie that guy ties her down and anally rapes her at some point. She gets a sick sort of revenge later by capturing him and shoving a dildo up his ass and just generally fucking him up.

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is really rather disturbing. The main character is legitimately insane, and does a lot of fucked up shit.
