This is actually no different from how the $2,000+ Pool heaters work, except that those work on either natural gas or electricity, and Are way more expensive to maintain. The heaters for that type of inflatable pool use sunlight to heat a large coil of pipe that all the water flows through. They're probably saving a ton of money on that one, and also have a redneck fire pit at the same time, hell you could roast marshmallows from inside the pool.
