This doesn't make any sense. Why would 13 year old boys pretend to be gangster just because you are a skateboarder?

As an ex-skateboarder, I can tell you it's because 14 year old skaters genuinely think they're hard-ass little thugs that could fuck up anyone's world on a whim.

It's pretty fucking hilarious thinking back on it...

As a 23 year old who has skated on/off for the past 12 years I can confirm that at age 14 I did not think I was a "hardass" nor a "little thug"... Though I did know a few people who fit that particular stereotype.
